Kate Curdy

Kate Curdy joined Results Fitness as an instructor in September of 2021.

Kate first became a member of the Results family in February of 2020, since she joined she has completed two Results Challenges. During these challenges she had a 60 pound weight loss and discovered a passion for running, TRX, and the Results community. After completing Hood to Coast in 2021, as a part of the Results team, she was inspired to become an instructor to help others on their fitness journeys.

During her short time as a part of the Results family, Kate has encouraged others to join her as they work towards a healthy lifestyle together. When taking a class with Kate you will be pushed to be your best self and always guaranteed a laugh while sweating through a work out.

When not taking a class or teaching a class Kate loves to travel, spending time on her family property “Camp Curdy,” and hanging out with her main man, Duke the French Bulldog.

You can find Kate leading our classes every Friday evening at 4:00 p.m. and subbing for other classes throughout the week.

Kristine Cary

I was initially drawn to yoga purely for the physical benefits. As an avid runner I wanted the strength and flexibility yoga has to offer. As I began to spend more time on my mat I noticed the connection between my mind and my body and how much potential there was to create positive change not only in how I moved but also in how I thought.
As an instructor I encourage my students to be okay with where they are at but not afraid to step outside their comfort zone and try something new. In my classes I strive to create a safe, fun and supportive space. And I work to get my students to believe that with discipline and commitment they are capable of more.
I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and now have over 1000 hours teaching experience.
When not on my mat I enjoy running, swimming, hiking and spending time with my 2 teenage daughters.

Tanis Morris

Tanis Morris has been teaching yoga at Results from the beginning in 2015. She is a certified RYT with 200 hours of training and has both led and attended multiple international yoga retreats. Her classes are engaging, fun and will challenge you whether you are a yoga newbie or have practiced for many years. Tanis has a background in both dance and sports. She has been a NCAA soccer player, long distance runner and she enjoys swimming and hikes. Prior to staying home with her four children, she had a busy career in high tech sales and marketing. In her spare time today you can find her renovating and managing investment properties, gardening or driving her kids to their various activities, which seems to consume the bulk of her time. Tanis is a board member at Columbia Dance in Vancouver and is on the Mt Pleasant School Board. She loves getting to know her students and looks forward to seeing you in class!

Kim Polovnikoff

Here’s a little bit about me….

I was born in South Africa but grew up in Canada! Moved to the USA in 2002 and also lived in Germany from 2014-2017.  I have 2 boys, Ben (16) and Dylan (13) with my husband Bryce.
I began teaching group fitness in 2010 because I wanted to help people achieve their fitness goals and feel good about themselves while having fun. I’ve taught all over Vancouver and have taught weight training, kickboxing, aerobics, hiit, cycle, Bootcamp and even a tiny bit of hip hop dance 😂. I went on to becoming a personal trainer to help more one on one.  I love showing people that getting fit can be fun and not horrible. 😂
In my free time I enjoy skiing/ski touring in the backcountry, mountain biking, hiking, running, baking and spending time with my family.
Favorite exercise: burpees!
Favorite healthy food: chicken and veggies (boring I know!)
Favorite unhealthy food: cake and burgers

MELANIE MCILWAIN

I grew up in the PNW and began my fitness journey as a fitness coordinator in the Air Force.  I would lead squadrons in their daily exercise which included running and circuit training.  I enjoy everything this area has to offer outside including, hiking, trail running, snowboarding, biking, etc. I am a mom of two humans, and two dogs and an Air Traffic Controller. I have certifications in Yoga Sculpt, Les Mills Body Pump and Body Attack. I have been teaching classes for over 7 years.  I believe that exercise should be challenging and fun, and that people perform their best when there is healthy competition and accountability.

STACEY TURNAGE

My name is Stacey and I am one of the trainers at Results Fitness Training. I decided to make my fitness a priority in 2012. It was a journey I never thought I would  love! In 2015 I found Results and  I knew I wanted to take it to the next level and help others too. I started teaching TRX classes in 2016 and have enjoyed every minute of it.

I have a husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, and a cat.  They all like to keep me very busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My family and my Results community bring much so happiness.

RYAN POLIN

I'm an eight year veteran of the Coast Guard. During that time I spent two years training as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer. I was also a Boarding Team Member who took part in many high interest vessel boardings along the Gulf Of Mexico.
I've been a trainer for about 4 years. I worked at Fulcrum Fitness for 2 1/2 years of that time as well as a group instructor at Crunch Fitness.
More recently, I’ve wanted to go in a different direction on how I train clients so I’ve been doing in home personal training for my own business called Proprioception.
I love obstacle course races and have been fortunate enough to have many podium finishes. In 2018 I qualified for the Obstacle Course World Championships in London. I placed 18th in the world in the 30-35 age group.
I’ve got two amazing kids and I’m currently in and about to graduate nursing school.

Brian cummins

About Me: I grew up a multi-sport athlete, and went into the USAF right out of high school, where I spent the next 28 years serving my country, which I still continue to do to this day.  I love TRX functional training, as well as mobility and flexibility work that is often neglected. For me, exercise is one of the things I know TRX will always be there for me when I need it, helping tremendously with handling life's stressors, and offering a quick break from the world to focus on yourself. My military and educational experiences has truly shown me the benefits of physical activity, evidence-based practice, and the mental health changes that come with exercise. Not only that but in 2007 when I went septic and woke up 30 days later in ICU which left me with many unknowns in my life in which I was going to have to overcome. After learning how to walk again, having no stomach muscles, floppy feet, and no core strength at all I thought my military career was over but, along came TRX and it total change my life.  I went from being with physical therapist, trainers, and doctors every day, to being total fit in less than 3 months, to be able to do Two Ironman’s, passing my fitness tests with average score of 97/100 for the last 8yrs of my career, and introducing this to my fellow Airman.

Training Philosophy: Having a healthy relationship with exercise is something that I value immensely, and working towards living a balanced lifestyle that can sustained long term and pushes you to increasing confidence in the gym, work and life experiences. Your own ability to exercise can have a huge effect on motivation and adherence, which is why I think establishing a strong foundation and offering lots of encouragement  goesa  long way. Being active should be for everyone, and that begins with making fitness more accessible and changing the way we approach it that’s why I love TRX so much. It allows you to do it anywhere ANYTIME!

Outside the Gym: I currently live Vantucky, Wash. I enjoy staying fit, hunting and fishing, cooking with my wife (while hoping she will do all the dishes, she to is a three time Ironman/woman), eating and spending time with friends, family, and my dogs. Member of Vancouver Wildlife League, NW Steel headers, Fallen Outdoors, proud supporter of many veteran organizations and the VFW.

Personal Fitness Accomplishments: 2 time Ironman, 10 time ½ Ironman, 35 marathons, 50 ½ marathons, 1 ultra-marathon, 10 mile swim, world champion hydro plane racer, USAF athlete of the year, USAF Airmen of the Year, Husband, and Grandpa.

BRANDYN ERICKSON

I originally started to work out seriously 7 years ago as a way to get in shape and lose weight and found creativity, passion, and fun in working out. I lost 60 pounds and became a certified personal trainer 2 years later. I’ve been a personal trainer for 3 and a half years and have loved every moment of it. When I’m not training I like to hike, run, box, and play sports with my fiancé. My favorite part of being a trainer is helping people get to the best version of themselves and achieve their goals. It took me making a change for myself to gain confidence in myself and get out of my shell, so I like to encourage my clients and students to be themselves and have confidence and have fun while working out.

Minique Yost

Hi! I'm Minique...
I love being active and being in the sunshine, whether that is going for a hike or paddleboarding. I enjoy traveling, going on adventures and being spontaneous. That spontaneity is what led me to try kickboxing back in 2017 - and I have not looked back. Kickboxing instantly was the form of exercise that I fell in love with and that passion led me to become a kickboxing instructor in 2020. My desire as an instructor is to help people feel strong, healthy, and happy while helping them achieve their fitness goals. My favorite exercise is deadlifts (roundhouses for kickboxing). I have a love/hate relationship with push ups, and despise doing pull ups. Some random things about me in case you were curious are that I love plants (you can never have too many plants) and I have a pretty serious caffeine addiction.

Levi Tom

Hi! I'm Levi. I started my career back in 2006 on a military base. I spent a few years there until I moved on to 24hr fitness. It wasn't until I started training at UFC Gym where I discovered the style of training that I really enjoy.

I don't believe one style of training fits all. Depending on your goals, I can help create a program for you that works. I specialize in weight loss, muscle gain, and strength and fitness conditioning. But my real niche is Post-rehab training.

james morrison

I’ve held a life-long passion for the martial arts and fitness. I spent my teens and twenties competing and training with many fantastic instructors and masters. Through this journey, I’ve obtained a third degree blackbelt in Taekwondo, a first degree blackbelt in Karate as well as certification in both personal training and kickboxing instruction. I’ve spent the last 10 years teaching and helping the next wave of athletes and martial artists to reach their full potential.

Taylor Maxson

My journey in athletics started when I was a teenager competing in rodeo circuits in Texas. Years later I found yoga in college, and became a certified instructor in 2017. I then moved to the Pacific Northwest and while searching for yoga jobs, found a passion for martial arts along the way!  I have been teaching cardio kickboxing, in addition to yoga, since 2021. I truly adore writing and teaching classes and will continue to be a student in martial arts and fitness for life!

AMANDA DARCHUK

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I began focusing on my personal fitness journey 10 years ago after my little family moved to Oregon from Minnesota.  I began taking group fitness classes to meet new people and get back into shape to keep up with my growing family.  I took my first kickboxing class in 2016 and instantly found a new passion.  I became an instructor at an iLoveKickboxing studio in Vancouver in 2020 and it brings me so much joy to share this fun sport with anyone and everyone I can!  I strive to make my workouts fun, balanced, and enjoyable for all experience levels.  I love helping people feel better and stronger, working toward or meeting their goals, and encouraging them to always do their best!
I earned my Group Fitness certification from ACE in January of 2022, and I am currently going back to school for a degree in Kinesiology.  I hope to one day to be able to work in Rehabilitation, whether that is in Physical Therapy or Cardiac Rehab, to help people recover from illness or injury.  I am a wife and mother to 3 spunky kiddos and a 2-year-old rescue pup named Zola who keep me very busy when I’m not teaching or studying.  When I do have spare time, I like to cross-stitch and watch anything comedy – or if it’s nice out, I enjoy being outside in nature with my family swimming, hiking, or just sitting on the beach.

Liz D'souza

I am Liz, I started kickboxing when I was 15 and it's been my lifeline ever since. After having moved here from the UK at 12, I was struggling to find a reason to call this home. When my parents pressured me to find a hobby, I remembered that I loved playing Wii Boxing when I was little. From that idea, I found the kickboxing studio and amazing people who have trained me along the way. Kickboxing brings me a peace and energy that I am so very grateful for, and being able to instruct has given me an opportunity to pass that feeling along to others :).
